The DCB Open Innovation Challenge
Our Open Innovation Challenge is an opportunity for anyone with an innovative solution to change diabetes management. Share your idea to get sparring and feedback from experts. The finalists get up to 100,000 USD in funding and in-kind support to further develop and accelerate the idea. In 2023, our Innovation Challenge counted 66 ideas from 22 different countries – and we currently work with more than 100 start-ups and innovators.

The DCB Start-Up Night
Over the past few years, diabetes technology has advanced significantly, improving the lives of many. Yet, there remains a pressing need for new solutions to ease the burden of diabetes. The DCB Open Innovation Challenge seeks to inspire these solutions, offering innovators the chance to transform diabetes management.
This journey culminates at the DCB Start-Up Night, where the finalists present their groundbreaking ideas and the winner is awarded.

The DCB Open Innovation Platform
In addition to supporting and conducting state-of-the-art research, together with our clinical and academic partners, we have created an online platform to identify, implement and scale innovative ideas, solutions or products that can be applied in practice in order to accelerate diabetes technology. We are looking to collaborate with start-ups, companies, mentors and the diabetes community all around the world.
