UDEM

Over the last few years, the Department of Diabetes, Endocrinology, Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism, Bern University Hospital, University of Bern (UDEM) has successfully positioned itself under new management and is now a research centre for diabetes technology with a stellar international reputation, having publications in the highest-ranking scientific journals. UDEM is the primary scientific partner of DCB, offering a highly dynamic academic environment complete with an international network and a competitive, passionate approach to research, as well as unwavering commitment to clinical and teaching work and to the advancement of young scientists.

sitem-insel—the Swiss Institute for Translational and Entrepreneurial Medicine in Berne—was created to establish, operate and develop a national centre of excellence that assists in the transition from research findings or prototypes to marketable products. It is organised as a non-profit public-private partnership.

University of Bern

The University of Bern has established itself on the international stage at the forefront of numerous research areas (space research, climate, etc.) As a founding member of sitem-insel, it has played a key role in the development of the new Swiss Institute for Translational and Entrepreneurial Medicine. The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bern works closely with the Inselspital (University Hospital of Bern) in teaching and research activities.

Institute for Diabetes Technology (IfDT)

The Institute for Diabetes-Technology (IfDT) is a research institute, specialized on clinical research around diabetes mellitus. Their aim is to support and promote research and development of technologies in the area of diabetes. With our work we want to contribute to making life for people with diabetes easier.

In the digital health center bülach, start-ups collaborate with established companies from the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector and healthcare industry to research and develop innovative solutions.

diateam

diateam organizes activities related to diabetes technology and digitization, including the annual conference diatec, the community day t1day, and the weekly newsletter diatec weekly. They also conduct the dt-report, which provides insights into the usage and future developments of diabetes technologies in the DACH region.
